Bangkok--29 Jun--River City Bangkok 3 July to 31 August 2017 River City Bangkok in cooperation with Creative Chiang Mai invites you to join "Point of View, Point of Town" sculpture exhibition by Chonnikarn Zaezai at 2nd floor, River City Bangkok from 3 July to 31 August 2017. Chonnikarn Zaezai is a female artist who gets familiar with the situation of big cities, especially in Bangkok. She realized that one of the biggest problems in the city is traffic congestion. When she moved to live in upcountry, she saw a huge difference in spending time on the road between Bangkok and upcountry. She then conveys such feeling on her art pieces that reflect her point of view to Bangkok in a sarcastic way. The picture of Bangkokians feeling cramped is depicted through the view of public vehicles that gains much popularity among Bangkokians for their travelling. Her talent shines when she often blends her point of view in realistic way with the cartoonish line of art with the use of light to make her works more interesting and realistic. For her masterpiece, she uses Thailand's China Town or Yaowarat to be a plot of her works. When mentioning about Bangkok, Yaowarat always pops up in people's minds due to its unique characteristic area, plus with picturesque archicultural structure and naturally and charming congestion area. The artist mainly uses the ceramic material mixed with other techniques to depict the story of her piece of art. Those interested can come visit the exhibition on the aforementioned date.
