Esso joins the National Science Museum in promoting science learning

Bangkok--20 Mar--Esso Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited (Esso) joins the National Science Museum (NSM) in science knowledge enhancement for youth and public nationwide. Mr. Mongkolnimit Auacherdkul (4th left), director and manager of Public and Government Affairs of Esso, presented a support of 1,000,000 baht (one million Baht) to Asst. Prof. Dr. Rawin Raviwongse (5th left), president of the National Science Museum, in cooperation to promote innovative learning and science education via variety of activities to reach wider audiences of students and interested public nationwide. The support include joint activities of Esso and NSM in science learning via travelling buses "Science Caravan" to upcountry children nationwide, promotion of experience in astronomy via 360 degree screen at Science Movie Dome, science knowledge enhancement activities in the National Science and Technology Fair which reach more than 1 million people per year, special column with Esso on science in movies via NSM monthly publication to enhance science analysis while watching blockbuster movies, and array of activities for energy literacy to students, teachers and museum professionals. The fund presentation took place at the National Science Museum, Khlong 5, Pathum Thani province recently. Recognizing the importance of science education to the country's advancement and national competitiveness, Esso has continuously supported the National Science Museum in organizing science learning programs and promoting equal access to innovative science education resources particularly the youths upcountry.
