The marine resources-rich prefecture will carry out promotional activities in Thailand to introduce and sell delicious marine products.
Off the coasts of Chiba Prefecture, surrounded by the sea on three sides, the warm current of Black Stream comes into contact with the chilly Kurile Current, producing fertile fishing grounds for a wide variety of oily and tasty fish all year round. Choshi Fishing Port, located at the northeastern tip of the prefecture, boasts of having recorded the largest fish haul in Japan for the last four years in a row since 2011.
Chiba Prefecture will bring marine products, including whole-dried sardines and large frozen clams, from Choshi and other ports to Thailand to sell them at an exclusive Japanese food store in Bangkok.
