Thaicom Provides Digital-TV Information Center Centralizing Channel Numbering Charts and Basic Data

Bangkok--18 Apr--Thaicom Thaicom Public Company Limited, Thailand’s satellite operator, continues to drive the transition of Thailand’s broadcasting industry from analogue to digital system by providing digital-TV information center via www.thaicom.net. The website will be an updated information center where viewers can find related background about digital-TV including the latest channel numbering of the set-top-box providers as well as messages from related organizations and other service / content providers. Suphajee Suthumpun, Chairman of the Executive Committee and CEO, Thaicom Public Company Limited said that, “As Thailand has been stepping into the new era of digital-TV and starting to broadcast Digital Terrestrial TV (DTT) signal, some TV channels have planned to put the content on air since April 1 trial run first date, and more channels will follow up upon their readiness. A number of viewers still need to get more information about the digital-TV and how to access to the system. Thaicom, as a Satellite operator providing digital-TV broadcasting network, has therefore decided to consolidate essential information in this regard including how to receive the digital-TV signal, updated channel numbering chart from set-top-box operators and messages from related regulators.
