Bangkok--3 Sep--Thaicom Thaicom PLC, Thailand’s satellite leader, has continued the “Satellite Saves Life" Project which align with its social responsibility direction in providing the opportunity and accessibility to the satellite-based communication network and utilization. This project aims to improve health promotion programs and increase the quality of life via the accessibility to the fundamental medical knowledge and help. In addition to providing communication network and connectivity for a help, relief and recovery during disasters and crisis, Thaicom has also intended to support medical personnel and institutes to provide a physical rehabilitation, mental recovery of the patients as well as the morale and relaxation of the medical officers. At the hand-over ceremony, Commander Dr. Anucha Likitvong RTN, represented the Medical Battalion Combat Logistics and Support Regiment Air and Coastal Defense Command on September 2, 2014 at Sattahip Naval Base. Krabi allowing soldiers to access to the communication mobility; the support of satellite dishes, set-top boxes and knowledge sharing for the installation and long distance learning through “Thai Kids Thaicom" Project in corporation with vocational students, schools in rural area, convicted drug-addicts and prisoners of the Wiwat Pollamuang School under the patronage of the Royal Thai Navy--this cooperation will help extending the knowledge to the community, allowing them to have a good vocation and opportunities to return to the society as a good citizen; the creation of scientific inspiration and extraordinary space experience through world-class, space exhibitions namely the NASA - A HUMAN ADVENTURE which is the first time in SEA.
