Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited, the manufacturer of gypsum innovations for 45 years and of the leading brand “Gyproc,” has launched its sixth Gyproc warehouse with a new facility located in Samutprakarn. The warehouse opening is part of the company’s aim to enhance its competency to support growth of the business sector before the introduction of AEC in 2015. The expansion is also part of a strategy to facilitate distribution to five Gyproc Centers and over 400 nationwide distributors and construction material stores following its strategic plan to achieve 5% growth this year. Gyproc’s new warehouse is designed to streamline distribution operations from its location on Kingkaew Road in Samutprakarn (near Bangkok); the site enjoys a strategic location on the Industrial Ring Road connecting it perfectly to main routes to all regions of the country.
Thongchai Kamolpattana, Commercial Director, Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited, said, “The new warehouse facility, Gyproc’s sixth, will complement locations in Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Chonburi, Ayutthaya and Surat Thani. Samutprakarn Province has a high potential for business growth with the introduction of AEC; this will require a logistics system that is efficient and modern, and that connects to all regions of the country, as well as to the airport and harbor. We are always looking at ways in which we can make freight transportation more convenient and cost effective for our customers, and in leveraging business opportunities ahead of 2015 integration.”
Thai Gypsum Products owns two modern gypsum plants, at Laemchabang, Chonburi and Bangsai, Ayutthaya, giving a gypsum board production capacity of over 70 million square meters per year. Adding Gyproc warehouse locations enhance the competency of distribution to Gyproc Centers and its network of over 400 distributors and retail stores nationwide.
