AIS announces its work vision for 2015 by embarking on LIVE Digital LIVE More as Thailand advances toward upgrading the lifestyles of Thai people and the nation as a whole in a completely digital economy era. The company discloses its 5-year business plan with a goal set to become “Your Digital Life Partner” covering both infrastructural development and digital service provision, including its transformation of the corporation into a full digital service provision alliance with every group made possible by the work of AIS people.
Mr. Vithit Leenutaphong, Chairman of the Board, Advanced Info Service PCL, or AIS, says, “We’ve spent over 25 years alongside Thai. As a wireless service provider, we are firmly committed to becoming a developer of infrastructure for Thai communications systems. In the past, we have already invested over 240 billion baht with 97% network nationwide coverage as the provider offering the fastest expansion of 3G services in the field of Thai telecommunications with a customer base of over 44 million customers making over 90 million phone calls per day with more than 200 million internet connections daily. And we were the ones to open a new dimension in data usage and online applications for daily use such as a channel for television and movie viewing for over 2 million people per month, e-book reading for as many as 600 thousand people per month and mobile payment services via the AIS system for over 400 thousand people per month.”
In addition, AIS remains a digital channel creator in extending various services to our customers and Thai people in general. For example, we offer over 20 million songs for sale per year with more than 2 million news stories per day and various basic services used in wireless services to enhance management capacity in each corporation over 300 thousand telemetric device running 24x7.
“Over the next 5 years, we expect the data usage rate to grow in leaps and bounds at 200-400%, while smart devices are expected to grow to over 50 million devices, including smart devices in new forms that will expand by over ten million devices with far-reaching effects in both the industrial and social sectors, e.g. transportation, health, education and other fields fully advancing to digital formats with images that are continually growing in clarity with the occurrence of links between equipment and various appliances in what is called the “Internet of Things”.

Mr. Somchai Lertsuttiwong , CEO AIS also said that “for the overall picture of telecommunication industry in 2015, we forecast that, overall, we will grow, divided by segment is Mobile 3%, Device (smart Phone and other devices) 10% and Fix Line about 15% which result in the growth of data usage. The trend to connect between devices called Internet of Things will clearly occurs. Therefore, to response to those need, we well prepare the foundation as follows
- Extent 3G network which we still prepare the budget to continuously improve the quality for more than thirty thousand million baht. This is to fully prepared ourselves to the coming 4G auction as well

- Extent Fixed Broadband service with the latest world speed for 1Gpbs which has been started already in Bangkok and perimeter areas. In the next 5 years, we will have the biggest Fixed Broadband Network in Thailand reaching more than 10 million household.
- Extend digital service to respond to economy and life style of Thai people including
AIS Play Box : Digital box which users can enjoy entertainment from AIS Entertainment App with the resolution of 4K (Ultra High Definition)
AIS Cloud+ : Provide service to store all data in the biggest Cloud storage
AIS E-Money : Provide various financial service with the bank and top financial institution such as mobile saving account with high interest rate and able to pay, transfer, withdraw via mobile, E-Commerce Payment etc.
AIS Business Solutions : Variety of M2M Solutions to respond to all business need, AIS Biz Cloud giving business organization to manage through IT without any concern to manage and invest with the back office system
