Travel News Tuesday March 31, 2015 17:01 —PRESS RELEASE LOCAL

Bangkok--31 Mar--Thai Airways International Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) continues to provide normal cargo services, transporting goods in the belly of its passenger aircraft. Mr. Poonsak Chumchuay, Managing Director, THAI Cargo & Mail Commercial Department, said that THAI’s two freighter Boeing 747-400 aircraft will temporarily cease operations as the second and third quarters are in low season and the quantity of cargo transport will reduce. However, THAI will continue to provide normal cargo services and transport goods in the belly of its passenger aircraft, which has sufficient space and is suitable for the current market. Furthermore, THAI is proceeding with its transformation plan and the market situation during various periods has been considered, with a reduction in production reflecting the present market situation. Therefore, the Company’s freighter aircraft were reconsidered in order to create greater value. It remains possible to use THAI’s freighter aircraft to charter cargo flights. Should future market conditions call for an increase in demand to transport goods by air, the Company may resume its freighter services. For more information, passengers may contact the THAI Cargo Center at Tel. 02-137-4952 to 3 and Tel. 02-137-4523 to 5 (24 hours a day) or www. thaicargo.com.
