ECO WASTE MANAGEMENT JOINS SATAREM TO INTRODUCE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THAILAND MOVING GRATE WASTE DISPOSAL TECHNOLOGY

Economy News Thursday July 2, 2015 08:58 —PRESS RELEASE LOCAL

Bangkok--2 Jul--Neo Target Eco Waste Management in collaboration with Satarem (Thailand) is launching, for the first time in Thailand, the advanced Mechanical Moving Grate waste disposal technology from Switzerland, aimed at effectively and properly solving waste elimination problems, and equipped to reduce pollution and environment challenges. The Roadmap of Municipal Solid Waste [MSW] and Hazardous Waste Management by the National Council for Peace and Order focuses on disposal of accumulated waste residues in critical areas by reducing and sorting waste at its source. Through Hybrid Technologies are used in the conversion into energy or into most mutual benefits. Then arrangement of Municipal Solid Waste and Hazardous Waste Management covering of strengthen nation discipline to strive for sustainable management in long term. To comply with the Roadmap and Policy, Eco Waste Management Co., Ltd. has initiated the project "Reducing Waste, Power Generation, Improve Quality of Life and Eco-friendly". Mr. Dheerasak Suwannayos, Chief Executive Officer of Eco Waste Management Co., Ltd., a specialist in finance and large scale infrastructure analysis said, "Eco Waste Management is founded by a group of experts from various sectors who share a common goal to provide effective and proper solutions for waste disposal as well as pollution problems in the community; and a highly advanced technology and know-how are required to tackle this challenge. We have therefore collaborated with Satarem (Thailand) to bring for the time into Thailand the cutting-edge, innovative "Moving Grate" waste removal technology from Switzerland for use in the waste treatment and disposal industry. This innovative technology allows a waste burning process which completely eliminates the need to manually separate the wastes thus reducing the risks of pollution and contacting and spreading of commutable and infectious diseases." The Waste to Energy (WTE) Plant project in Tha Rong Chang, Punpin, Surat Thani province is expected to be completed at the end of 2517 and operational in the first quarter of 2518 with a daily capacity of 500 tons in waste disposal. Total investment in this project is Baht 850,000,000 "The key factors contributing to the success of this project are our capabilities in a thorough Bankable Feasibility Study as well as use of appropriate technology and EPC (Engineering Procurement & Construction) method. Engineering experts have been actively involved in the entire construction process, from plant design, construction, implementation of the most suitable technology to proper equipment fabrication and plant installation," said Mr. Dheerasak. "Another significant factor is we have an Operation & Maintenance service in place. Most business operators tend to overlook this factor. Normally, life expectancy of a machine should be approximately 20-30 years." Mr. Torsak Chotimongkol, Chief Executive Officer of Satarem (Thailand) Co., Ltd. said, "Satarem has experienced and expertise in solutions of Waste to Energy Management. The vital key to reduce pollution is "Incinerator" which we continuously developed based on Cement Clinker Plant with absolute Process Engineering Control. Through Mechanical Moving Grate Incinerator [MGI], the thermal stability can be controlled for most efficiency conversion heat to electricity. By regulating the Process Waste, its value is under the European Union Standards especially for "Dioxin". By this MSW Disposal, no sorting system is being required prior to dump in incinerator, then all concerning people do not touch MSW, then infection and reproduction of pathogenic is minimized. "The type of wastes differs in each region due to varying degrees of heat," added Mr. Torsak. "Satarem therefore created and implemented a tailor-made design and technology in building our plant to suit the type of wastes in that particular region. Our incinerator has constantly gone through an on-going improvement process via use of Mature Technology. We also have numerous Freezable Technologies which are results of research in laboratories which however are not yet applicable. Consequently, Satarem is equipped with know-how, expertise and reliable technologies which can be used to effectively tackle the waste disposal process." Waste is considered to be the country's longtime challenge; and so far lacking standards in the waste disposal procedures thus negatively affecting the population both directly and indirectly. The Management teams of Eco Waste Management and Satarem share the same vision and business direction as well as readiness to work together and fully dedicated to bring the waste management industry to the next level in Thailand.
