DIR-885L: the router for impressive Wi-Fi speed & efficient usage of Wi-Fi capacity
D-Link, one of the world's largest suppliers for networking products, has unveiled its first 802.11ac Wave II router today – DIR-885L, an AC3150 MU-MIMO Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Cloud Router. The DIR-885L allows users to experience an ultra-fast wireless connection on their notebook or desktop while at the same time, stream HD video on 5GHz. It supports multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) technology that enables simultaneous transmission to different groups of clients, bring the efficiency usage of the available Wi-Fi network capacity to the next level.

The SmartBeam feature found in DIR-885L allows wider coverage with little or no gray area. It also allows checking of some brief history of the visited sites from each connected devices.

mydlink SharePort lets users connect a USB storage device to DIR-885L and instantly share documents, movies, pictures, and music through different devices simultaneously. The users can upload files to USB drive, stream HD movies on their PC, while another family member may stream music or download files from the USB to his / her mobile device.
