Today at 2 p.m., Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn graciously presided over the grand opening ceremony of The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)'s new head office in downtown Bangkok. On this occasion, SET Chairman Chaiyawat Wibulswasdi, SET President Kesara Manchusree, SETs board of governors, executives, employees, as well as the capital market stakeholders were granted an audience.
For over four decades of operation, SET, with a role as a forefront fundraising and savings platform among the Thai people, has developed listed firms' quality, taking environmental, social, and good governance (ESG) practices into operations under the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges (UN SSE) initiative, to strengthen economic foundation and society in the long run. Since the beginning of this year, SET has moved into thenew head office in Bangkok's prime business district, offering a complete range of investment services for investors, entrepreneurs and general public, highlighting the first investment discovery museum in Thailand called "INVESTORY" and the "Maruey Knowledge & Resources Center,"a cutting-edge financial digital library, as such becoming a new investment landmark, reinforcing SET's role to enhance financial andinvestment knowledge among Thais.
The SET's new environment-friendly head office complex showcases world-class design and construction, certified by standards of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) of the US Green Building Council (USGBC), of the Gold level, located at 93 Ratchadaphisek road, Dindaeng, Bangkok, consisting of three integrated buildings: 28-story office tower, 7-story public zone which housesINVESTORY, Maruey Knowledge & Resource Center and Thailand Securities Depository Co., Ltd. (TSD) counter services.
