Bangkok Bank has launched "mAlert" a new function for its Bualuang mBanking service that provides notifications about account activity to increase convenience and provide customers with confidence about security. mAlert is available through mBanking application (Push Notification), SMS and email.
Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Prassanee Ouiyamaphan disclosed that the bank has developed 'mAlert' which is the newest function for 'Bualuang mBanking' which offers alerts about account activity, due payments and security. Users can opt to receive alerts through any of three channels, namely application (Push Notification), SMS and email. There are three options for mAlert, Account Alert Plus, Payment Alert and Security Alert.
Account Alert Plus provides alerts about account activity to help users manage their money more efficiently and conveniently. This service provides a weekly account balance, on the day of the week selected by the customer, alerts about deposits and withdrawals, and alerts when the account balance breaches low and high thresholds.
Account Alert Plus includes a new innovation called Actionable Alert which allows users to make an instant fund transfer to their account when the account balance hits the low threshold. They can transfer funds immediately by tapping the notification message. Users can also transfer funds for investments when the account balance reaches the high threshold. The service makes it easier for customers to manage their funds.
The Payment Alert service will also be helpful for Bangkok Bank's credit card holders who have linked their credit card accounts with Bualuang mBanking, as they will be informed via Push Notification when the credit card payment is due and can immediately make the payment when they view their notification message. This means they can make credit card payments more easily and won't miss payments.
The service also provides Security Alerts via Push Notification or email every time the Bualuang mBanking application is used, the mobile PIN is changed, or a new device is activated. This enables customers to monitor their account movements and feel confident when using the Bualuang mBanking application.
The fee for Account Alert Plus depends on the package. Customers will be charged Baht 15/account/month for an SMS/Push Notification package, which consists of alerts by SMS, Push Notifications and email, while a Push Notification package, which consists of alerts by Push Notification and email, will be charged Baht 10/account/month. As a promotional offer, both packages have a two-month free service if the enrolment is made by the end of 2016.
