Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) has launched a campaign called "Hello New Zealand" to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its Bangkok-Auckland service. The Charge d'Affaires to Thailand, Ambassador Peter Rider and its business partners, Krungthai Card Public Company Limited (Thailand), and iFREE Group (Thailand) were present at the launch event. The guests were warmly welcomed by Mr. Bryan Ernest Banston, THAI Vice President Sales Department and Mr. Korakot Chatasingha, THAI Director of Thailand Regional Department at THAI Head Office.
Mr. Korakot Chatasingha, THAI Director of Thailand Regional Department, said that to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Bangkok-Auckland route, THAI had increased the number of services operated between Bangkok-Auckland from five flights to seven flights per week on 16 November 2017 with the newest addition to its fleet the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
THAI has launched the "Hello New Zealand" campaign to passengers on this special occasion. The offer includes;
- A special fare for Economy Class travel on the Bangkok-Auckland-Bangkok route from 25,000 baht per person (fares are inclusive of applicable airport taxes for minimum of two travel partners)
- Royal Orchid Plus (ROP) will offer Platinum Members, Gold Card and Silver Card privileges when applying for a visa to travel to New Zealand. Royal Orchid Plus will join hands with New Zealand Immigration and offer ROP members (Platinum Member, Gold Card and Silver Card) plus one non-ROP member travel partner who hold Thai passport and have residence in Thailand, the facility to apply for a New Zealand Visa without presenting any bank statement. This offer will be in place until 31 March 2017 and is applicable for ROPs member who have had Silver card status for at least 12 months
- A "Hello New Zealand" tour packages will be available for those who prefer freedom when they travel. These will include a 4-day North Island Fly & Drive starting from 42,500 baht and a 10-day North & South Island Fly & Drive starting from 74,900 baht. hese prices include economy class tickets, accommodation with breakfast and car rental (unlimited distance). The package also includes an iFREE Global Travel Sim card.
THAI will also join hands with its business partners; KTC credit card and Citibank credit card. Customers will be able to receive other special privileges such as hotels or limousines when paying for tickets with those partner credit cards from now until 31 March 2017.
