Bangkok--20 Feb--AP Thailand AP invites world-renowned designers e.g. Sam Baron, Creative Director of FABRICA Design Studio, one of 10 important designers, and Kaave Pour, ace designer of life in the future from SPACE10, to share insights New dimensions in residential design shared between AP and FABRICA Design Studio from Italy under concept of 'third space' from design overlap and space sharing AP (Thailand) Public Company Limited, the leader in the development of residential properties for urbanites with expertise in design innovation for unlimited space functionality, recently joined forces with the Thailand Creative Design Centre (TCDC) to get Sam Baron, a world-renowned designer from FABRICA Design Studio, and Kaave Pour, an ace designer from SPACE10 to share their creative ideas with participants of 'PULSE' international symposium during Bangkok Design Week 2018. The two speakers addressed the symposium on residential design trends for co-living generation as the world enters a new context of living at a time when the living space is shrinking. Mr.Sappasit Foongfaungchaveng, Head of Corporate Marketing and Director of AP Design Lab, said, "Given the rapid transition from the strong technological impact, it is not easy to say how residences in the future will look like since customers' needs change every day. Some things may be right for the convenience and preference of customers now. But we can't predict if they will still be right for customers in the future. One of the important factors making residential development of today challenging is space limitation. AP as a Thai property developer has a commitment to challenge its capability continuously. This year AP presented itself with tougher questions and sought help from experts in many areas in order to make sure that all projects exceed expectations of residents and cover all basic functions." "Since development of residential properties evolves very fast, AP (Thailand) has to open itself to changes in all areas so as to keep pace with how people in the future live their lives. We want to deliver quality projects with good living quality for AP homeowners. This is particularly essential given the existence of technology that totally changes people's lifestyles. A lot of ideas were shared during the international symposium at Bangkok Design Week 2018 where Thai and foreign designers and creative people got together to discuss novel design visions. Among those sharing their visions was Kaave Pour, Creative Designer of SPACE10, IKEA's research centre dedicated to life in the future. His focus is on designing sustainable better life by finding new possibilities in global trends such as food security, urbanization, health and wellness. Or how to optimize limited functional space in AP Space Scholarship programme, a cooperation between Sam Baron and AP Thailand that presents living space of the future through future space innovation as envisioned by FABRICA Design Studio and AP Thailand," Mr. Sappasit said. Mr. Sam Baron, Creative Director of FABRICA Design Studio, said, "Kudos to AP (Thailand) for not overlooking the small things and make a good use of them in a programme like Space Scholarship. In my opinion, this programme will help improve the living quality of the young in Thailand. It benefits from the expertise of FABRICA and AP in residential design and the design is right for people coming from different places and it is designed in a way that allowed the space to be ideally shared in what is called co-living space by AP. I hope to be able to work with AP in similar challenging projects like this in the future." Mr. Kaave Pour, Creative Director of SPACE10, said at the international symposium that, "SPACE10 carries out research and experiment to see how men live in the next 2-3 decades. We go deep into three main possibilities, namely circular societies, co-existence and digital empowerment. Humans are pushing for innovation. When 1,200 million people are forced to live closer together and to share more, everybody is ready to share with others. This is one example of how our vision of the future looks like. Those who start to imagine about the future will be the ones who can build the future. How will we live in 2030 is the question we have to find the answer together." AP is ready come up with new initiatives for life in the future regarding design work and function. We carry out consumer research in various aspects. We take into account fast-changing technology as an input for our design that provides every answer for the future, whether it be furniture, household tools or inter-connected automation – all in line with AP's principle of being a leader in innovation for better living quality for urbanites.
