Social media stars 'JayTheRabbit' and 'Beargirlfriend' join up as presenters
HUAWEI recently launched its new quad-camera HUAWEI Y9 2018 smartphone with robust specifications including 4,000 mAh battery and HUAWEI FullView Display at a price of just 6,990 baht. The company also introduced popular cartoon characters on social media, 'JayTheRabbit' and 'Beargirlfriend', as presenters of the new smartphone.
Led by deputy country director Tossaporn Nisthanon, chief marketing officer Chanvit Khieonavavongsa, and deputy marketing director Arvit Chiralerspong of HUAWEI Consumer Business Group Thailand, the event turned the launch venue in to a lively, colorful backdrop for the latest mass-market smartphone from HUAWEI. Despite its best-value price of just 6,990 baht, HUAWEI Y9 2018 comes with four cameras and is packed with technologies that will delight teens who belong to the social media generation. Take great photos with this affordable quad-camera smartphone using its dual front cameras (16MP and 2MP) or dual real cameras (13MP and 2MP) and add more fun by creating bokeh blur in your selfies with Portrait mode or by applying special effects in AR Lens mode. Fully enjoy entertainment contents longer with its 4,000 mAh battery, a capacity that matches those of much more expensive flagship phones. The 5.93-inch HUAWEI FullView Display with 18.9 aspect ratio provides fuller view and uninterrupted enjoyment in movies, music videos, gaming and social media contents. Users can unlock the screen with Face Unlock feature or use the Fingerprint sensor that is versatilely configurable to function as a shutter release button or to receive a call, for example. HUAWEI Y9 2018 supports dual SIM cards and up to 256GB of external memory. It is powered by Kirin 659 octa-core processor and AndroidTM 8.0 operating system with EMUI 8.0 user interface.

HUAWEI Y9 2018 comes in three colors: Black, Blue and Gold. It will be officially available at HUAWEI Brand Shop, dealer's stores and online stores from March 30 onwards.
