LG Electronics (LG) has joined GTH to showcase its sweet and stylish ‘LG LED Series’ handsets in an 'anti-romantic' feel good movie "Guan Muen Ho" ("Hello Stranger"). LG has also revealed an online campaign featuring the first interactive movie trailer in Thailand that offers viewers the chance to can receive a phone call from a special surprise caller while they are watching the trailer on the LG website.
The collaboration between LG and GTH was initiated because GTH saw that the outstanding features of LG’s LED Series phones that come with a great combination of stylish design and smart functionality, with programmable LED lights. Those features match perfectly with Guan Muen Ho, a romantic comedy which tells the story of two young strangers travelling through the scenic countryside of Korea. GTH therefore thought the stylish design of LG’s LED Series phones would complement the visual elements of the story.
LG's LED Series phones feature in this movie as the main characters’ phones - LG’s GD580 Lollipop, as the phone of the lead actress (Nuengthida Sophon), and LG’s GD350 Toffee, as the phone of the lead actor (Chanthawit "Ter" Thanasewee). Besides appearing in many scenes when the main characters make calls, viewers will have a chance to see many features of the LG Lollipop, including 3G video calling and LED pixel animations displayed on the phone, allowing users to communicate their emotions with others.

The presence of LG LED Series in Guan Muen Ho will let users experience LG mobile phones through a movie, which is a kind of movie marketing that has never been done by any mobile company in Thailand.”
The LG LED Series comprises of LG GD350 Toffee, LG GD580 Lollipop, and LG KF350 Ice Cream. All models are designed with fun-seeking and fashion-conscious consumers in mind, and come with programmable LED lights as a core feature. LG GD350 Toffee is the latest phone from LG that has a 2-inch touchscreen, 2 megapixel camera, and supports 2 GB micro SD card at an affordable price. This phone follows the success of LG Lollipop, which has sold very strongly since being launched in February.
In order to reach a wider audience and encourage brand engagement, the launch of the LG LED Series in Guan Muen Ho will be supported by an online marketing activity. This activity is the first interactive trailer in Thailand that users will get a phone call from a special surprise caller when they watch the movie teaser. The easy steps to participate are:
1. Log in to http://www.lg.com/th/lollipop/
2. Fill in your details and mobile number.
3. Enter the trailer page. Viewers will receive a phone call from a special surprise caller during a scene featuring the LG Lollipop. When they receive it, they will hear a voice say “Hello stranger, what’s your name” (but be quick — it’s just for the first 150 persons each day)
Users can also take part in a fun activity on LG’s Facebook Fanpage, and become a virtual movie star. Fans can add their face to the Guan Muen Ho poster, and by answering six simple questions, they are given a fun special Korean name, which appears as the leading actor/actress on the poster. They can then share it with their friends as their profile picture.
