ตามที่เมื่อวันที่ 20 เมษายน 2560 เวลาประมาณ 21.00 น. (ตามเวลาท้องถิ่น) ได้เกิดเหตุการณ์คนร้ายยิงเจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจบนถนน Champs-Elys?es ใจกลางกรุงปารีส ส่งผลให้มีผู้เสียชีวิต 1 ราย และมีผู้บาดเจ็บ 2 ราย
พลเอก ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรี ได้มีข้อความสารแสดงความเสียใจถึงนาย Bernard Cazeneuve นายกรัฐมนตรีสาธารณรัฐฝรั่งเศส โดยมีรายละเอียดดังนี้
Excellency,
I am profoundly saddened to learn of the shooting incident at the Champ-Elys?es Avenue in Paris on 20 April 2017, which resulted in the loss of life of one policeman and innocent people injured.
Thailand, as a friend of France, joins France and the international community in condemning this despicable act of violence and remains firmly committed to working with the international community in the fight against terrorism in all its forms.
In this moment of mourning, I wish to express my deepest sympathy and condolences to Your Excellency and, through you, to the bereaved families affected by this horrific event.
Accept, Excellency, the renewed assurances of my highest consideration.
