Rexel, a global leader in the distribution of electrical supplies and solutions, has acquired LuxLight, a Singapore-based specialist high-end lighting distributer.
LuxLight significantly reinforces Rexel's offering to the hospitality segment, including luxury hotels, and residential buildings, and brings new capabilities in the specification of high-end lighting products.
Since the company's inception, LuxLight has become known as a specialist in architectural and decorative lighting to meet the aspirational demands of architects, designers, lighting consultants and the owners and builders of hotels, resorts and luxury homes. LuxLight's team has extensive experience in providing advice and managing lighting product specifications for clients across more than 15 countries worldwide.
This latest acquisition supports Rexel's Energy in Motion company plan to drive market consolidation by extending its offer of value-added services and presence in key vertical markets.

The acquisition, which took place on 30 November 2012, should be accretive by the end of 2013.
After completion of the transaction, LuxLight will come under the direction of Mitchell Williams, Senior Vice-President Asia Pacific. Sam Wee Boon Keng and Prakash will continue to lead the LuxLight team.
