As the two major government enterprises of Thailand, MEA (Metropolitan Electricity Authority of Thailand) and PEA ( Provincial Electricity Authority of Thailand) are responsible for power distribution, monitoring of power grid operation and approving renewable energy projects across Thailand. The grid-connection approval licenses from both the MEA and PEA set up a technical standard that ensures the stability, safety and reliability of the national grid.
