In Thailand, whose international competitiveness is increasing as a manufacturing hub, many manufacturers are trying to improve their product quality, cost and delivery to further enhance their productivity. In particular, the local subsidiaries of six Japanese companies -- Daikin Industries, Ltd., Mazda Motor Corp., Toyota Boshoku Corp., Mitsubishi Electric Corp., Komatsu Ltd. and Nissan Motor Co. -- have achieved significant results in their improvement activities. Moreover, a company whose project receives the highest evaluation from the audience in a vote after their presentations will be awarded the grand prix.
