Since the earthquake followed by tsunami has hit Aceh and its surroundings on Sunday (26/12), the National Office of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) continues to carry out evacuation, first aid, registration of victims and
displaced people, field kitchen, and distribution of relief.
In order to convey health services to the victims, PMI has deployed its
medical team. This team consists of: 4 general practicioners namely dr. Victor
Zebua, dr. Lilis Wijaya, dr. David Sidabutar and dr. Budi Hidayat, as well as
two medical personnel: Nugroho Adi and Rukman. With this team PMI has also
flown in 16 rolls of shrouds and medicines.
PMI has also opened a special account for donations for the victims with
the following details.
