Sonoco (NYSE: SON), the global packaging company, will contribute a total of $75,000 to relief funds in Asia helping victims of the recent Tsunami, it
was announced today by Harris E. DeLoach, Jr., president and chief executive
officer. Those funds include those being administered through PT Media Televisi
Indonesia, Jakarta, and the Fund Raising Bureau - Thai Red Cross Society,
Bangkok, Thailand.

suffered devastation from this natural disaster," said DeLoach.
