The new Spicer plant will provide just-in-time delivery to the Ford/Mazda operation. Initial investment for Spicer Asia (Thailand) will total approximately $8.5 million. Employment at the factory will reach 125. A Spicer Asia (Thailand) facility in Bangkok currently supplies Siam Nissan and other manufacturers with propeller shafts for pickup trucks.
