[x] There will be no clarification meeting Notification of the Bank of Thailand Re: Special Holiday for Commercial Banks, Finance Companies and Credit Foncier Companies 1.Objective According to the cabinet resolution on 7 February 2006, Monday 12 And Tuesday 13 June 2006 are approved as the National Holidays for Bangkok Metropolitan and its vicinity (Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi, Pathumthani and Nakhon Pathom province) due to the auspicious occasion of the celebration of 60th Anniversary of His Majesty’s Accession to the Throne. Therefore, the additional Special holidays for financial institutions have been announced accordingly. 2.Provision of Law By virtue of the provision of section 17 of the Commercial Banking Act B.E.2505 and its amendments, section 37 and section 56 of the Act on Undertaking of Finance Business, Securities Business and Credit Foncier Business B.E.2522 and its Amendments, the Bank of Thailand hereby announces commercial banks, finance Companies and credit foncier companies’ special holidays in accordance with theCriteria of this notification. 3.Scope of Application All commercial banks under the Commercial Banking Act,finance Companies and credit foncier companies under the Act on Undertaking of Finance Business, Securities Business and Credit Foncier Business. 4.Criteria on Special Holidays Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 June 2006 have been set as the additionalholidaysfor Commercial Banks, Finance Companies and Credit Foncier Companies for Bangkok Metropolitan and its vicinity (Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi, Pathumthani and Nakhon Pathom Province). Meanwhile, in case where commercial banks, financecompanies amd credit foncier companies have necessity to operate the operation unit in Bangkok Metropolitan or its vicinity in order to facilitate the branches’ transactions in other provinces, they are allowed to do so.
