The cabinet acknowledged the resolutions of the National Environment Commission, in its 6/2022 meeting, dated December 23, 2023. Gist of the meeting is as follows:
Report on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of 8 projects, e.g., electrical system development project in Surat Thani?s Koh Tan, Buriram Airport Expansion Project Buriram, Lampang province?s Mae Bom Reservoir Project under the Royal Initiative, Intercity Motorway Project No. 7 connecting with U-Tapao Airport, among others.
Approval of draft Action Plan on Prevention and Solution of PM2.5 Particulates under ad-hoc plan on Solution to PM2.5 Particulates, 2023
The cabinet approved in principle the draft Joint Statement of 9th ASEAN Finance Ministers? and Central Bank Governors? Meeting (AFMGM). Should there be an amendment in parts that are not gist nor against national interest, Ministry of Finance may proceed without having to resubmit to the cabinet. Minister of Finance or a representative is authorized to endorse the draft joint statement. This is as proposed by Ministry of Finance.
The draft Joint Statement of 9th ASEAN Finance Ministers? and Central Bank Governors? Meeting (AFMGM) prescribes the intent of ASEAN Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors in promoting ASEAN?s long-term economic recovery in line with Indonesia?s 3 strategies (as 2023 ASEAN chair), namely, 1) recovery and rebuild, 2) digital economy, and 3) sustainability.
