The cabinet acknowledged the Overview of Economic and Trade Indices for August 2023, as proposed by Ministry of Commerce.

- Consumer Price Index (CPI) in August 2023: 108.41 (+0.88%YoY)
- Headline inflation rate: +0.88%MoM
- Core inflation rate: +0.79%YoY
- Average CPI over the last 8 months (January ? August 2023): +2.01%AoA
- Consumer Confidence Index (CCI): 53.4
The cabinet approved the budget under Government?s contingency fund for emergency, for the total amount of 1,024,414,000 Baht, to support promotional scheme for electric vehicle (cars and motorcycles) use, as proposed by Ministry of Finance. This is to ensure measure implementation efficiency on investment in EVs manufacturing.
The cabinet approved the budget under Government?s contingency fund for emergency, for the total amount of 541,096,800 Baht, to be allocated to Bangkok Metropolitan Administration for the following:
Elderly pension: 518,718,200 Baht
Support grant for people with disabilities: 22,378,600 Baht.
This is as proposed by Ministry of Interior.
