Goal: (1) 25% or more reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in Osaka City compared to the 1990 level by fiscal year 2020. (2) 80% reduction of greenhouse gas emission in Osaka City compared to the 1990 level by fiscal year 2050.

Description of initiatives: (1) Resource and new energy-recycling urban development (Construction of the Morinomiya Model as the birthplace and hub for supplying renewable energy). (2) Green innovation in the Bay area (Yume/Saki Model) (3) Aiming to become a regional energy supply hub (Establishment of decentralized energy system) (4) Streamlining of energy consumption (Switch to LED street lighting, lights off at 7pm, operating less elevators, etc.)
