Mr. Jun Ylagan III, an automobile hobbyist and enthusiast, had envisioned that every pick-up truck should not only be used as a utility vehicle but should also be fashionably dressed up and styled as well. Having this as an objective, he created a company called Kustom Klassiks Inc. With Gatorcab pick-up bedcovers headlining his list of products.

In 1996, Kustom Klassiks Inc. In Banawe, Quezon City began selling Carryboy accessories, side by side with Gatorcab pick-up bedcovers. Immediately, sales pick up well and in 1998, Mr. Jun Ylagan III, in tandem with his enterprising spouse, Angela Belleza-Ylagan MD, Kustom Klassik Inc. Became the exclusive distributor of Carryboy accessories in the Philippines.

The company officially became Carryboy Philippines Inc. When it was separated from Kustom Klassiks Inc. And incorporated in 2001. The separation has proven to be more beneficial as the two companies gained their own identities and has long since started helping each other and enable to support and develop new and different products which reach out and cater to different clientele.

Two years after, in 2003, Carryboy Philippines Inc. received the No. 1 dealer award from Carryboy Thailand, besting out 100 other different countries globally. On the same year, the company received formal accreditation from Philippine auto-assemblers group.

In 2007, the former Gatorcab retail shop location in the central district area of car accessories which is in Banawe Street, Quezon City became one of the flagship stores of Carryboy Philippines Inc.
