Hat Trick is a restaurant operator headquartered in Kobe, Hyogo. They operate several types of restaurants mainly in caf or bakery style. They also run lifestyle goods shops. Among them 'Hara Donuts' and 'Hara Roll' are quite popular and thoes brands are now under management of Muku Co., Ltd.*, which is a group company of Hat Trick.

Hat Trick has been contacted by two Thai companies for Hara Donuts and Hara Roll (roll cake) brands with interest in becoming franchisees for those. Although Hat Trick has experience in franchising Hara brand in Korea, it is the first time to deal with Thai company. As the franchiser, Hat Trick is responsible for providing recipe and ingredients for products, and staff training by sending patissier. For Korea, they export all of ingredients from Japan. For Thailand, they are hoping to find as much as ingredients within Thailand to lower the cost. They also looking for a trading company who can collect ingredients in Thailand. Hat Trick also expressed their concern about dealing with Thai companies, since one of franchisees is a large corporation while Hat Trick is a SME.
5. Result of meeting:
Hat Trick requested information about suppliers of flour and San-On sugar, also information about Japanese Confectionery Company operating in Thailand. They also asked advice on dealing with Thai companies and price setting in Thailand.
