The 12th Western China International Furniture Fair
Organized by CCPIT, China Light Industry Confederation and Chongqing Municipal Government and, co-organized by Chongqing Municipal Business Committee, Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Commission, Chongqing Economic and Information Commission and Chongqing Banan People’s Municipal Government, the 12th China International Furniture Fair was held from April, 28th to May 01st in Chongqing Kaien International Furniture Center.
During the four exhibition days, it is released that over 2,500 domestic and international furniture enterprises with more than 3,000 furniture brands as well as over 100,000 furniture pieces joined the fair. Enterprises from foreign countries,including Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia have brought their own special furniture products to showcase here. The 12th Western China International Furniture Fair has provided a good platform not only for the development of domestic furniture industry, but also for the information exchange as well as further communication among international furniture associations and enterprises. During the four days’exhibition period, over 400,000 consumers(including some distributors) visited the fair. According to the report, about 12.1 billion Yuan contract had been signed and, during the fair period, on-the-spot business transactions had hit 1.8billion Yuan. For foreign exhibitors, this fair was extremely successful. It is released by Chongqing CCPIT that the exhibited furniture products from Malaysia and Indonesia are so popular that within one and a half days, all their furniture products were sold out immediately.
In the past 11 years, Chongqing Kaien International Furniture Center has seen altogether more than 10,000 enterprises exhibited in the Western China International Furniture Fair. This fair is also called the most influential furniture fair in western China with biggest business volume. Nowadays, with the fair becoming more and more popular among local Indonesia Pavilion people as well as among foreigners, Kaien International Furniture Center is also known to more and more customers. As a result, in the year 2011, the trade volume of Kaien International Furniture Center has reached 10.2billion Yuan.
