Rayong — Mr.Vithaya Wongs-Aree (6th from left), General Director - Press and Body Shop, Mr. Supakpong Charoenpornpanich (3rd from right), Senior Manager - Environmental and Site Utilities, Worldwide Facilities Group, General Motors (Thailand), Mr.Samarth Pingkanont (4th from right), Director Plant Maintenance and more than 100 employees of General Motors (Thailand) Ltd. and Chevrolet Sales (Thailand) Ltd. recently joined forces to improve facilities at the Eastern Sugar Company community school in Rayong.
The activity was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility program aimed at improving the quality of facilities at schools around GM’s plant at Rayong. The volunteers spent two days renovating the school’s library, first aid room, playground, classrooms, toilets and main buildings as well as the plantation area. They also donated stationary, personal computers and garbage bins to the school. The school’s headmaster, Mr. Meechai Wongpan (6th from right) accepted the donations on behalf of the school.
