SCG is going to share its sustainable business operation concept at “Thailand Sustainable Development Symposium 2010” which will be hosted at 8.30-16.30 hrs on October 18, 2010 at Intercontinental Hotel Ploenchit Road.
The symposium is divided into 2 sessions as follows:
? Plenary Session (morning)
H.E. Mr. Korn Chatikavanit, Finance Minister will share an idea of the road to Thailand’s sustainable development while H.E. Lyonpo Dr. Kinzang Dorji, Former Prime Minister and Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bhutan will explain the Gross National Happiness Philosophy of Bhutan, which is an objective and hope of sustainable development and Mr. Kan Trakulhoon, President and CEO of SCG will share an idea of sustainable business operation.
? Interactive Breakout Session (afternoon)
Representatives from public sector, private sector, NGOs and academics will exchange their experiences and visions on sustainable development practices through interactive seminars. The participants are able to attend one of these following seminars:
o Room I: Doing Well by Doing Good Successful companies who are able to balance their business performance with environment and society will share their experiences.
o Room II: Technology Innovation towards Sustainability Thai researchers who develop innovations for the better world will share their experiences and best practice.
o Room III: Harmonizing Industry with Society, a Learning from Japan Learn from the lesson of Japan in environmental management which helps harmonize industry with society.
