Sponsorship to uplift potential of Thai football players, raise Thai football to world standard
LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has pledged its support for the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) from 2010 — 2013 in an extensive partnership that will help to uplift football in Thailand and allow Thai football players to fulfill their potential to reach an even higher international standard. LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd will support the FAT through cash and products worth 15 million baht a year from October 2010 until 2013.
Mr. Hyun Woo (Howard) Lee, Managing Director, LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd said , “LG’s vision is to be the world’s best at enriching lives through innovation, and sport is definitely one of best ways to share this with people. Our brand expression is ‘Life’s Good’, so everything we do for the community, including our sponsorship of the Football Association of Thailand, aims to achieve this.”
Expressing his support for the sponsorship, Mr. Worawi Makudi, President, Football Association of Thailand said, “Not only will LG’s sponsorship add great excitement to Thailand’s football community, it will help to develop and enhance the potential of Thai football to reach international standards. In addition, fans of the Thai National Football Team will have the chance to enjoy fantastic activities arranged by LG.”
Thunyachate Ekvetchavit, Marketing Director, LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. added that, “Football is truly the ‘world game’, and its popularity is rapidly increasing in Thailand. LG looks forward to playing a part in helping Thai football reach an even higher world standard, and ensuring these new heights reach every area nationwide. As part of achieving this, we will present a suite of LG products to the FAT football academy and partner with the FAT to arrange activities for the betterment of society.
“To build awareness and bonding with the LG brand through a sports marketing strategy, LG will arrange the ‘Life’s Good When We Go Together’ campaign, involving activities both on the field and through other marketing channels, such as at point of sale and online. This exciting campaign will reach customers, football fans and the general public. Activities will start in November, and look forward to revealing more details soon.”
