Anantara Phuket Villas will play host to the second annual Silk Rhythms Music and Fashion Show on December 4th. Guests will experience a sunset over the Andaman accompanied by the eclectic and melodic house tunes by the fashion worlds favorite DJ, Charles Schillings. Patrons will also be treated to a spectacular evening of Jim Thompson’s new summer silk collection shown off by top models.
Now in its second year, the Silk Rhythms Music and Fashion Show is part of a culinary festival organised by the five northern Phuket resorts situated on Mai Khao, the island’s longest beach, with each resort hosting different events over three days. The festival celebrates the culinary talent and attractions of this unspoiled part of Phuket.
Guests will be able to chill out and mingle beside Anantara Phuket Villas’ infinity pool; sample cocktails created by international mixologists; enjoy a unique barefoot Coastal BBQ served in the infinity pool or snack on delicious Thai food from the markets stalls located on the lawn, and groove to the beats until late.
Charles Schillings is known for mixing eclectic and melodic House with Rock, Electro-Funk, Soul, Groove and Jazz. He has played at Rex and the Queen (Paris), Le Caf้ d'Anvers (Belgium), Lotus (New-York) and Jet Set (Moscow). His resume includes sound design for Karl Lagerfeld and French brand C้line since 2006 along with spinning for special events for Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Chopard and Armani.
Thailand’s famous Jim Thompson will also be showcasing their new beach and coastal wear collection in a never before seen fashion show. Named after the man who single handedly revolutionalized Thailand's silk industry, the new collection turns the traditionally functional fabrics into the latest in fashion beyond the realm of existing habitual motifs and colours.
Prices start from THB 1,200* per person for the Sunset Session, including the Music and Fashion Show and the first drink, or THB 2,700* per person for the Sunset Session and the Coastal BBQ dinner including free-flowing wine.
