Fitch Teleconference: Quantitative Easing Risks for Emerging Asia, Tues 2 Nov @ 4PM HK/SG

ข่าวเศรษฐกิจ Tuesday November 2, 2010 08:46 —PRESS RELEASE LOCAL

Bangkok--2 Nov--Fitch Ratings With the US Federal Reserve widely considered to be moving towards further quantitative easing, investors are concerned the additional stimulus may result in negative spillover effects for Emerging Asia, particularly with at least nine of eleven of the region's countries on some form of currency link to the USD. In a just published special report, Fitch argues Emerging Asian countries with poorer track records of price stability, already-loose domestic monetary conditions and weaker financial systems would be more exposed to the risks of a further global monetary easing. Fitch invites media, investors and other market participants to a teleconference. Andrew Colquhoun, Fitch's head of Asia-Pacific sovereign ratings will discuss and take questions on these findings from a special report titled "Emerging Asia: Ranking Sovereign Vulnerability To Further Global Quantitative Easing''.
