THAI Signs Lease for Eight Boeing 777-300ER

Bangkok--2 Nov--Thai Airways Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) recently signed a long-term lease agreement with BOC Aviation for eight Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Mr. Piyasvasti Amranand, THAI President, said, “Thai Airways International’s corporate vision is to be the First Choice Carrier with Touches of Thai. As we enhance our reputation of providing good service with a young fleet, we are pleased to partner BOC Aviation, Asia’s leading aircraft leasing company, for this transaction.” BOC Aviation has ordered eight 777-300ERs direct from Boeing for long-term lease to Thai Airways International. The lease transaction marks the first time that BOC Aviation has worked with Thailand’s national carrier. The aircraft are powered by GE90-115BL engines and are scheduled for delivery to THAI from August 2012 to October 2013.
