A few leading Asian chambers of commerce based in Thailand have decided to organise the inaugural Asian Food Festival from 12 - 14 November, 2010 at the Imperial Queen’s Park Hotel (Sukhumvit Soi 22). Part of the proceeds of the event will be used for charitable purposes.
The Asian Food Festival Organizing Committee comprises of the Malaysian-Thai Chamber Commerce, Singapore-Thai Chamber Commerce, Korean-Thai Chamber Commerce, Melati Indonesia Club, Thai-Hong Kong Trade Association, Thai-Taiwan Business Association, India-Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Vietnam in Bangkok.
The Malaysian delegation will be the largest, comprising five booths offering gourmet delights ranging from street food fare to mouth-watering Malaysia food-fusion delights. Some of the cuisines that the visitors will get to enjoy include nasi lemak (Coconut rice), satay, teh tarik (Gai Satay,Cha Chak), roti canai (flying bread or paratha).
Visitors can purchase all types of Asian cuisines from 30 booths at a special price using coupons worth Baht300 per booklet which can be purchased at the venue of the event. The participating outlets offering Malaysian food in Asian Food Festival 2010 are:
