KTC to secure more credit card and personal loan members through all channels.
The firm is set to be the first in Thailand to accept electronic applicationsvia Counter Service at 7-Eleven.
KTC maps out an aggressive acquisition plan from now until 2011, targeting medium-income clients with regular use of revolving loans via outsource sales and bank relations. From the last quarter of this year, KTC is collaborating with Counter Service at 7-Eleven on the acquiring of credit card and KTC CASH Revolve personal loan members. The firm is now the first in Thailand to introduce a 24-hour electronic channel through which consumers can have quick and easy access to KTC financial products at over 5,300 branches of 7-Eleven nationwide. Special! Approved applicants are entitled to a Mini Bag worth 1,900 Baht from now until December 25th, 2010. KTC expects 280,000 more accounts by the end of this year on top of existing 2.2 million accounts.

As for us at KTC, we have a policy to expand our member base both for personal loan and credit card business from now until 2011, with emphasis on clients with medium income from 15,000 to 40,000 Baht who have a regular use of revolving capital. Improvements will be most noticeable for the personal loan category as it is still in high demand and the interest rate is lower than that of unsecured money lenders. The credibility of us as a financial institution will draw more and more clients to our services.”
“And in order to satisfy this growing demand for loans and to maximize our chance of reaching the target clients through new channels in all areas in this last quarter of the year, KTC is working with Counter Service to acquire new credit card and KTC CASH Revolve personal loan members at 7-Eleven stores. Consumers in need of a loan can now have convenient access to KTC financial products without the restriction of time.”
“Application via Counter Service at 7-Eleven is simple and not complicated. Clients only need to give preliminary information such as name, contact number and income to the Counter Service staff. We will contact you back within three business days after having received the list from Counter Service and present you with relevant products.
A courier service is also available for the application form and required documents. Applicants need to be at least 20 years of age with income from 10,000 Baht for personalloan and from 15,000 Baht for credit card. Entry fee and annual fee are waived for life. And for every spending, KTC Forever Rewards will be granted for use in place of cash with discounts at more than 1,000 establishments nationwide.”
“As a special offer to those who apply via Counter Service at 7-Eleven from now until December 25th, 2010, a Mini Bag worth 1,900 Baht upon approval of loan with outstanding balance of 15,000 Baht every day throughout the first two billing cycles or when you have a personal loan together with a credit card with outstanding balance of 10,000 baht every day for the personal loan and a minimum spending of 10,000 Baht via the credit card during the first two billing cycles.”
“We expect this Counter Service strategy to help us become the financial institution with most comprehensive access to clients with demand for loans. By the end of the year we believe to have about 280,000 more accounts. We currently have 2.2 million accounts which break down to 1.7 million credit cards and 500,000 personal loan accounts. This information is as of September 30th, 2010.”
“For the year 2011, the main channels for credit card and personal loan acquisition will depend 55% on outsource sales by three sub-channels: over 17,000 direct sales representatives; booth sales at department stores, leading discount stores, office buildings and events; and, telesales. The other 35% will depend on banks Krungthai Bank with 923 branches and their savings and payroll clients, as well as Government Savings Bank with their 930 branches for KTC-GSB credit card.”
“Additionally, we have 36 branches of KTC Touch in Bangkok, 33 more in adjacent provinces and three upcountry in Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima and Nakhon Pathom.
