The Ramada Hotel & Suites Bangkok has appointed Mr Marcus Wirsching as General Manager, effective October 2010.

Mr Wirsching will oversee operations at the brand new four-star property in Sukhumvit Soi 12 in downtown Bangkok. The hotel soft opened in July and is the first Ramada-managed property in Asia Pacific and part of the Wyndham Hotel Group.
Prior to joining Ramada, Mr Wirsching, a German national, served for two years as General Manager at the Ramada Resort Khao Lak in southern Thailand. He has a strong background in food and beverage as well as operations. Mr Wirsching, who has two decades’ of hotel experience in Asia, previously held senior management positions for hotel brands such as Conrad as well as Dusit and Marriott in Bangkok. He has also held senior operational and food and beverage posts at hotels in the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Germany and Poland as well as Pattaya, Hua Hin and Bangkok.

The 11-storey hotel features spacious studio and suite accommodations. The larger suites are well-suited for extended-stay business travelers looking for apartment-size accommodations complete with kitchen facilities.
Hotel facilities include a restaurant-bar with Italian inspired cuisine and wines in a cozy ambiance with a cool garden setting. Guests can also enjoy a fitness center, business center and large outdoor pool.
