To show its care to children in need, Kingston Technology, the independent world leader in memory products, today announced its actual action of helping the Chinese children by donating books to “Hai Yu Junior High School” in the remote district in Northern Thailand. These children are mostly the descendants of the China troop stationed there since the Second World War, and their overall living condition is not very sound and requires more goodwill and commodity to improve the situation. Although the sources are in shortage, the Chinese offspring are still longing for being nurtured with the traditional Chinese culture and language.
“We are very thankful that Kingston could give a hand to our students and the school and every single book could be an incentive to encourage the children to be eager to learn the Chinese culture”, said Mr. Chia-Rong Chang, Vice-Principal of Hai Yu Junior High School. “There are currently around 250 students in the school aged from 6 to 16, and we are lack of teaching sources and facilities. Kingston’s goodwill is highly appreciated and hopefully it could arouse more awareness of Chinese education in the remote districts in Northern Thailand.”
“Kingston always cares about children’s welfare for they are the hope of the future. We admire those who have devoted themselves in the Chinese education in Northern Thailand and are delighted and proud to make some contribution to those children,” said Scott Chen, Vice President, APAC Region, Kingston. “The donation is aimed to let more people notice the welfare of this minority group, including the education resource. Through the book donation, we hope that more and more people would be illuminated and are willing to give a hand to those children in need in order to enrich their childhood.”
Kingston is a brand which always cares for children. After the CSR event “Go Green with Kingston” in August 2010, Kingston continues its commitment to showing its social responsibility in the local market, for example, the book donation to the Chinese children in Northern Thailand, through charity and CSR (corporate social responsibility) activities.
