Bangkok--24 Nov--Munich Tourist
With the international marketing promotion of Southern Germany in mind, the Stuttgart-Marketing GmbH, in cooperation with its partners Munich and Ingolstadt, has devised the automobile tour "Premium Cars of Southern Germany" — a new tourism offer that is aimed in particular at the US and Asian markets.
Southern Germany's international tourism profile is defined to a great extent by the automobile. As the cradle of mobility, the South of Germany is inextricably linked with the term automobile. Both as an economic icon and as a tourist magnet, the automobile has been responsible for enhancing the region's reputation all over the world. Especially in the coming year the theme will gain even more international prestige — thanks to the 125th jubilee of the invention of the car (it was in 1886 that Carl Benz designed the world's first automobile, the famous Benz Patent Motor Car). In order to do full justice to this important anniversary, the whole of 2011 in Baden-W?rttemberg will revolve around the automobile, with a host of events that will bring to life well over a century of automotive history.
In their city marketing concepts Munich, Stuttgart and Ingolstadt will make full use of the tourism potential of the automobile as a figurehead that enjoys worldwide fame and popularity, a basis enabling them to create new opportunities for Southern Germany's tourist trade with their recently conceived offer "Premium Cars of Southern Germany".
For the handling and processing of bookings for this new offer the three automobile locations have engaged the competent services of Spillmann, the well-known Stuttgart tour operator.
The tour is designed as a flexible and individual round trip to the three automobile locations of Munich, Stuttgart and Ingolstadt. The exclusive package comprises a high-class tour in BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Audi cars through Southern Germany, with the accent on the participants' own driving enjoyment. All overnight stays will be in four- or five-star hotels. This unique trip through beautiful countryside can be augmented by optional tour packages in each of the three locations, including, for example, visits to the automobile museums and sightseeing in the cities. The scheduled duration is eight days, but this can be adapted to suit individual requirements.

"Together with the Munich Oktoberfest and FC Bayern Munich, the cult brand BMW is one of the best-known brand names worldwide. Thus BMW, along with the world's biggest beer festival and the football record-holders, is responsible for promoting the global awareness of our region more than almost any other brand name. The 'Premium Cars of Southern Germany' tours were conceived in order to boost Munich's international image as well as strengthening it throughout the whole of Germany. A strategic alliance with Germany's other two high-end automobile locations was in this case merely a logical and consequent step, which Spillmann has effectively realised with the 'Premium Cars of Southern Germany' tour," says Georg Ansmann, Deputy Director of Tourism for the Bavarian state capital of Munich.
"As part of our foreign marketing strategy the new city marketing cooperation 'Premium Cars of Southern Germany’ is a showcase project — internationally we present ourselves as a strong cooperation partner in association with the cities of Munich and Ingolstadt, linked by the common bond of the automobile. Particularly with regard to the automobile jubilee year of 2011 we hope to draw attention to the automobile as a unique selling point central to the region's tourism marketing, for which our new offer represents a sustainable perspective," says Andrea Gehrlach, authorised representative of the Stuttgart-Marketing GmbH.
"The theme of the automobile not only links our three cities of Ingolstadt, Munich and Stuttgart, it also links people all over the world, making it an important factor in tourism marketing," says Martina Benkel, Director of the Ingolstadt Tourismus und Kongress GmbH (ITK GmbH).
"The positive associations generated by the automobile are utilised intentionally by the partner cities as a thematic impetus to illustrate the appeal of the region for tourism. With 'Premium Cars of Southern Germany', visitors can travel individually to three attractive destinations, while driving their attractive leading products," endorses Dr. Jrgen Amann, project manager of the ITK GmbH.
"The 'Premium Cars of Southern Germany' arrangement is yet another gem in our premium-range product line. It incorporates all the characteristics which make Southern Germany so unique in the world: tradition, idyllic scenery and outstanding technical precision. The aim is to let visitors discover all of these on an individual basis with the maximum of driving enjoyment and comfort," says Blent Menekse, Spillmann's Managing Director.
Bookings can be made as from now directly via Spillmann by calling ++49 (0)7142 9788-15, or online under www.premiumcars-of-southern-germany.com.
