GM Dealers Gear Up for CRUZE

Bangkok--25 Nov--Weber Shandwick 93 dealers nationwide get together to usher in the new Chevrolet CRUZE. GM Thailand and Chevrolet Sales Thailand recently held a special dealers’ conference in conjunction with the upcoming launch of the Chevrolet Cruze. Held in a theatrical environment befitting the ‘star’ status of the Cruze which has been so successful in most of the markets it has been launched, all 93 Chevrolet dealers from across the country were treated to presentations and displays of ‘The CRUZE Story’. Dealers had a great experience to unleash all senses to the new Chevrolet Cruze and an insight into the successes the Cruze has achieved in other markets. They were also presented with Products, Sales & Marketing, After-sales & Service, Network and PR plans that were developed to help propel the Cruze to greater heights in Thailand. Mr.Martin Apfel, President of General Motors Thailand/Southeast Asia and Chevrolet Sales Thailand took the opportunity to express his confidence in the nameplate. “The Chevrolet Cruze is among the fastest-growing nameplates in the world with sales rising an average of 18 percent per month. Globally, up-to-date, more than 350,000 units of Cruze have been sold from 75 countries.” Mr. Apfel said. “We will grow revenues, profits and make the brand even more successful. We will make the dream — our dream — come true and bring it to life. I want a fair share of 10% and I am confident that it can be achieved with our brand equity that touches people, our great products, best services and strong network”, he continued. “To make the brand great, we have to start with our vision to design, build and sell the best vehicles. Then we have to show commitment and consistency to our customers, show our appreciation for relationships and build loyalty,” Mr. Apfel added. The President also reiterated that focus should also be on other areas. “We are confident the Cruze will be a best-in-class product. But that alone will not sell the vehicle. We must make sure other components of the value-chain are in place and this includes a strong dealer network as well as building life-time relationships with Chevrolet customers.,” Mr. Apfel said. The Cruze has won 39 awards around the world where it was launched and more awards are expected when the Cruze is launched in Thailand.
