Dr.Suvit and Khunying Sonsuda Yodmani will preside over “Light the Christmas Spirit”, the local charity, organize by Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok on Thursday, 9th December 2010 at 18:00 hrs., hotel lobby. Purpose of event is to celebrate the Festive Season, and to helping children at “Baan Nontpum” — Home for Children with Disabilities.
Baan Nontapum was established on November, 1970 with the mission of caring for children with disabilities (visual, hearing, or various physical impairments). The target group is homeless, abandoned, or orphaned children aged from 7 to 18 years old, and children from troubled families. The Home provides appropriate living accommodations according to the physical needs of the child. Caregivers also live at Home and act as foster parents. The aim of the event is to bring warmth to children and create opportunities for them. The hotel is raising money through a variety of events in order to support the children’s schooling and provide other welfare services for children in the home.
All proceeds generated from the event will be donated to Baan Nontapum. From now until 9th December, everyone is invited to help by making a monetary donation at the hotel towards the Baan Nontapum Donation Fund.
