Bangkok--30 Nov--Mazda Sales Meet Exclusive Ranges of Mazda Special Edition at Booth Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co. Ltd. goes ahead full steam in creating an excitement for the Thai auto scene. The company will showcase the Mazda Ryuga concept vehicle in which the new Mazda3 is based upon, at this year's Thailand International Motor Expo. This is the first time in Thailand and the Asean region that the Ryuga will be exhibited. Meanwhile, Mazda will also display a number of limited edition models including the Mazda2 "2navi" which comes in the special Aurora Blue body color and features a DVD/Navigator system, along with the BT-50 Road Master (with only 300 units to be offered). All other Mazda models offered in Thailand will also be shown, and they will all come with special promotions to thank Thai customers such as low down payment, low interest and low monthly installment starting at less than Bt5,000 and free first-class insurance, making it easier for Mazda fans to own a Mazda vehicle. Mr. Choichi Yuki, Managing Director of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co. Ltd., said the Mazda2 has written new pages in the Mazda history in Thailand, especially in the fiercely contested sub-compact market. "The launch of the two Mazda2 models represented an important strategy that helped strengthen the Mazda brand in Thailand, and one that has made us one of the most popular brands in this country in a very short period of time. We have already delivered 21,000 units of the Mazda2 to customers, and we are still receiving strong acceptance among Thai consumers," he said. Mr. Yuki said Mazda has already sold more than 31,000 vehicles in Thailand during the first 11 months of 2010, representing a growth of more than 200 per cent compared to the same period last year. Mazda is presently the highest growing brand in the market, and is moving closer to the 35,000-unit sales target for the year, which is equivalent to a 164-per cent growth, he added. In addition, Mazda is also giving importance to the potential of the Thai automobile market by introducing new technologies to the Thai consumer with the Mazda Ryuga. "The Ryuga is a highly innovative concept vehicle in which the new Mazda3, to be launched in Thailand in the near future, is based upon. The Mazda Ryuga is also a concept vehicle that has gained much fame for Mazda as it won the 'Louis Vuitton Classic Concept Award' from the Louis Vuitton Design Academy in France. This is an ultimate award for automobiles that is based on creativity and design. This is the first time that it will be shown for the Thai people to experience it closely and understand the modern and unique design concept," Mr. Yuki said. The Mazda Ryuga is a concept that truly reflects the spirit and modernism, reflecting the Japanese definition of beauty for example the wing-shaped wheel arches, sharp design and curved surface. "These are the important elements that will be reflected in future production Mazda vehicles," he added. At the Motor Expo, Mazda will present Mazda2 "2navi" the limited edition version that comes with genuine factory-fitted accessories and also DVD player and navigation system, stainless steel muffler, door trim set, sports pedals and sports decals. A special new color, Aurora Blue, is offered for this special model along with white and grey. Two models are offered - Mazda2 Spirit Sports 2 navi priced at Bt680,000 and Mazda2 Maxx Sports 2 navi priced at Bt730,000. Meanwhile, the BT-50 sports pickup has been given a special treatment in the "Road Master" version. This sporty pickup is produced as a limited edition version, with only 300 units to be offered. Prices start at just Bt673,000 for the Freestyle Cab 4x2 raised version, powered by a 2,500cc turbocharged common-rail diesel engine. There are three body colors offered - Cool White, Black Mica and Highlight Silver. The BT-50 Roadmaster comes with 10 special appointments from Mazda such as new sports bumper, eye-catching sports decals, reverse sensor, Mazda-design pickup bed liner, chrome side steps and rubber floor mats. Sureetip La-Ongthong Chomthongdee, Marketing Director of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co. Ltd., said Mazda has been engaged in active marketing throughout the year, and will raise the momentum next year. "Our intention is to penetrate into our target customers as well as clearly placing the market position of our products, and topping it off with 'Zoom-Zoom" marketing activities by reaching younger customers," she said. According to Sureetip, Mazda's success in the Thai market also roots from the introduction of new models as well as special models on a continuous basis. "This has allowed Mazda to rise into the top row of car makers in the Thai automobile market," she added. At the 27th Thailand International Motor Expo, to be held from November 30 to December 12 at the Challenger Hall, Muangthong Thani, Mazda is preparing an area of 1,360 square meters to display vehicles at its booth and welcome the large flow of visitors.
