Bangkok--2 Dec--Weber Shandwick General Motors Thailand and Chevrolet Sales Thailand have officially launched the Chevrolet Cruze to the Thai media in a recent media event at Centara Grand Hotel. Governed by the theme ‘Engineered to Respond’, the dazzling event brimmed with spectacular lights and sounds to reflect the Cruze’s dynamism. The Cruze’s dynamic design and exceptional performance has attracted a number of well-known car enthusiasts to the event. Topping the list were Ta-Warit Thipgomut, Art-Sujjakaj Jitpeungtum, Nathasedh Poonsapmanee, Mark Kingpayom, Kiartiyos Kiartsoongsong, Wannaporn Posayanond, Siraprapa Chirabandhu, Sutassanee Kunpalin and MR Chantraladda Yogala, as well as Miss Thailand World 2010 beauties Noosi-Sirirat Ruangsri and Looktan- Sarinya Sookpraserdh. Mr. Martin Apfel, President of GM Thailand/South East Asia and Chevrolet Sales Thailand took the opportunity to present the global design, innovation, performance and safety features of the Cruze. The Cruze is Chevrolet’s biggest nameplate, currently available in more than 75 countries across five continents and has received numerous recognitions and awards. Globally, a total of more than 350,000 units of Cruze have been sold. General Motors Thailand and Chevrolet Sales Thailand has transformed the Centara Grand Convention Room into a ‘track’, complete with state-of-the-art 270-degree, more than 70 metre-long curtain LEDs. The climax of the launch was when seven Cruzes literally lapped around the ballroom along the makeshift ‘track’. Imagine seven Cruzes driving around inside a hotel ballroom! The event ended with everyone rushing to get their ‘first’ photo-shoot with the seven Cruzes, which were strategically parked so everyone could get up-close and personal with the Cruze.
