Bangkok--8 Dec--Anantara
Christmas is about celebrating in style with those you love. Good food, great friends and family, a few local Thai touches, will make this holiday season all the more special - and this year Anantara Golden Triangle is in a festive mood with their very own traditional Christmas celebrations, Thai style.
Anantara’s festivities are designed to indulge all the senses and the festive night begins with mountaintop sunset cocktails overlooking Myanmar, Laos and Thailand. Hill tribe elders will be demonstrating local product making such as silk weaving, bamboo basket making and hill tribe necklace making to add into your loved ones stockings.
Cooking demonstrations and tasting for guests include local specialties such as the sampling the oldest Thai noodle recipe, charcoaled rice crackers, northern styled beef salad and much more. Hill tribe orphans will be playing a mixture of traditional hill tribe songs along with Christmas carols with all the proceeds going back to the orphanage to buy necessary school items such as books and pencils and other learning materials.
As festivities close on the mountain, a long drum parade with the locals will lead guests to dinner where a traditional Christmas meal will be served. Local hill tribe entertainment and activities will continue throughout the evening.
Anantara Golden Triangles Traditional Christmas with a Thai Twist is for one night only on December 24th, 2010 for BHT 5,900/ person. For more information on Anantara’s festive events log into www.anantara.com
