Phol Dhanya PCL, a distributor of occupational health, safety and environment products, will list on Thailand’s Market for Alternative Investment (mai) on December 9, after raising funds of THB144 million (approx. USD 4.79 million). The company will use “PHOL,” as its trading symbol, revealed mai President Chanitr Charnchainarong.
PHOL is an importer and distributor of occupational health, safety and environment-related products, offering personal safety equipments and complete turnkey services. It offers 40 well-known brands and over 3,000 items. PHOL is the authorized dealer for 23 brands, the sole distributor for “King” and “Microguard” products, and has its own brands: “ENV-SAFE” and “Synos”.
The company has a total paid-up capital of THB135 million (approx. USD 4.49 million), consisting of 95 million existing common shares and 40 million shares from its capital increase, with a par value of THB1.00 each. At its initial public offering on November 29-December 1, the company raised THB 144 million (approx. USD 4.79. million), by offering 40 million shares at THB 3.6 per share to the general public. The funds raised will be used in its water distribution business and as working capital. KGI Securities (Thailand) PCL was its financial advisor and underwriter.
PHOL’s P/E ratio at its IPO price was at 13.98 times, based on a net profit of THB 0.26 per share, which calculated from the company’s net profits in 12 months (October 1, 2009- September 30, 2010) and divided by total shares after IPO of 135 million shares.
PHOL’s dividend policy is to pay no less than 40% of net profits according to the company’s separate financial statement after taxes and legal reserves. PHOL’s major shareholders are Mr. Chavalit Wangthamrong Group, Mr. Teeradej Jatutangtrong Group, and Thai Sri Insurance Co., Ltd. who hold 46.45%, 20.09% and 1.48%, respectively, of total shares after the IPO.
