An Airbus A380 test aircraft has landed for the first time at Zhengding International Airport in the northern Chinese city of Shijiazhuang, 300 kilometers to the south of Beijing, making it the 124th and China’s 6th airport visited to date by the world’s most modern and eco-efficient aircraft.
The A380 flew to Shijiazhuang from Beijing on the afternoon of 18th November. The aircraft had just arrived in Beijing the previous day from the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai, where it performed a flight demonstration and was on static display for two days at the 8th Zhuhai Airshow.
At Shijiazhuang airport, the A380 gave an impressive performance during a technical demonstration flight with Chinese civil aviation professionals, including pilots and engineers of Chinese airlines, on board. Tomorrow, the A380 will visit the northern Chinese city of Tianjin, where the first Airbus single-aisle final assembly line outside Europe is located.
