dtac and HTC Corporation, a global designer of smart phones, have joined forces with long-time partner Microsoft, a world leader in software solutions, to launch the first HTC HD7 with Windows Phone 7 in Thailand. This strong and diverse family of phones features Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 7 platform and embodies the stand-out design and innovation for which HTC has come to be known. The new phone includes a variety of cutting-edge technologies and a series of unique HTC applications that can be accessed through the new HTC Hub that complements a series of ‘hubs’ on Windows Phone 7, providing a fully integrated social media and entertainment experience. Users can touch the better experience on efficient dtac network with Internet Alert service that provides users a worry-free internet cost.

It has gained popularity and currently reaches 6 million users. As a result, users’ lifestyles have been changed with more data access. And dtac is ready to supply the demand with a faster and better network that covers throughout the country. Also, the social network mainstream has inspired smart phone and feature phone users to look for an operating system that really supports their access.”
“dtac has joined hands in this alliance to introduce the HTC HD7 Windows Phone 7 for the first time in Thailand. dtac customers will get the privilege of buying this device at participating dtac outlets, priced 22,900 Baht (VAT included). Customers who register for a 799-Baht smart phone package will get 10-month interest-free installment privilege and total 4,000 Baht discount for monthly service (500 Baht discount per month x 8 months), with 3GB dtac internet a month,” Mr. Petter said.
Recently, dtac launched Internet Alert service for cost controlling at one’s convenience. dtac will continually send alert SMSs after 10 Baht of usage is exceeded. Also, there is Cap Max service that offers expense control for prepaid and postpaid customers with expense rates of just 49 Baht per day and 1,500 Baht per month respectively. These services offer more convenience for smart phone users on the dtac network.
