THAI Temporary Suspends Bangkok-London v.v. Flights Due to Adverse Weather

Bangkok--21 Dec--Thai Airways Thai Airways International Public Company Limitedannounced cancellation of flights from Bangkok-London v.v. due to heavy snowfall atHeathrow Airport, which the airport authority will operate only for limited flights. Mr. Piyasvasti Amranand, President of Thai Airways International, said that due to adverseweather conditions and heavy snowfall, London’s Heathrow Airport is temporarily closed. The adverse weather conditions and heavy snow on the ground at Heathrow Airport create obstacles for flight departures and arrivals. A limited amount of flights are being allowedto operate to and from London, therefore priority for flight departure will be granted toairlines with passengers currently disabled at Heathrow Airport. For passenger safety andalso in accordance with the advisory from London Heathrow air traffic control, regularlyscheduled flights will not operate. The temporarily suspended flights are as follows: Flights on 20 December 2010 - TG916 Bangkok-London 1330-1935 hrs. - TG917 London-Bangkok 2135-1555 hrs. Passengers traveling to London are advised to keep abreast of the weather conditions.
